EastEnders and the 'Beale-L-T'

It looks like the Eastenders EastEnders crew has been having some fun with language.

The cafe in the BBC soap opera is owned by a character called Ian Beale. And instead of the traditional BLT, Ian's cafe offers a 'Beale-L-T'.

I've even managed to get a screengrab from the BBC's iPlayer as evidence:

Beale L-T

The Beale-L-T seems to include a burger, but I can't quite read that first word in brackets. Anyone?

That's a relief - I thought it might have been 'Mouse'...

Without wishing to be a pest, I used to work as a proofreader for TV Quick and EastEnders has a capital E in the middle. It's as silly as SMart, but it's their title. I like you blog though, I'm running a similarly pedantic one over at http://inkyfool.blogspot.com/

Ah, yes, I think I did know that - but good spot. I've corrected the post!

And thanks for the link to your blog - I'll be sure to check it out.
