Album titles: Shut up and sub...

I recently mentioned that I've been reading a biography of musician Steve Earle. However what I forgot to add is that I was very taken with the title of a Steve Earle live album: Shut Up and Die Like an Aviator (pictured).

This got me thinking about my all-time favourite album titles. I have a soft spot for Welsh band Mclusky's: My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours is probably the best, although The Difference Between Me and You is That I'm Not on Fire is also a belter. (As you can tell, long album titles appeal to me.)

Any favourite album titles out there?

Several years ago the Connells put out an album called Weird Food and Devastation. I'm also fond of the title of Voltaire's first album, The Devil's Bris.

I'm quite fond of Belle and Sebastian's "Fold Your Hands, Child, You Walk Like A Peasant". And I've always wanted to get a copy of "The Unbearable Lightness Of Being A Dickhead" by Mr Floppy, just for the name really.

I still like Racecar is racecar backwards by Reuben! Although to throw a song title into the mix Reubens "Everytime a teenager listens to drum and bass a rock star dies" is my fav song title

I've always been partial to "The Egg Plant That Ate Chicago" by Norman Greenbaum which includes the original version of "Spirit In The Sky".
As for song titles, "All I Want For Christmas Is A Dukla Prague Away Kit" by Half Man, Half Biscuit takes some beating as, indeed, does the band's moniker.

My fave bad title is Standing on the Shoulder of Giants by Oasis, it always made me wonder where the other shoulder went, and always made me want to send them a dictionary.

I'm fond of The Talking Heads More Songs About Buildings and Food which is odd, as I am not fond of The Talking Heads.

Ah, but Elisabeth, are you fond of buildings and food?

"Construction for modern idiots" by the Wonder Stuff.

MRP - Regarding Oasis, "the shoulder of giants" suggests one shoulder between many giants. That's just weird.

Oh JD, I appreciate your comments on the matter of quotation marks and full-stops but as you are already on our friend list is there still a need to promote the engine room on every comment?

Shameless.

Oops, yes, perhaps I have been a little over-zealous in promoting the Engine Room! I am just passionate: is that such a crime?

Er, sorry.

No need to apologise, I would have added a ;-) if I didn't hate smileys so much.
